5 days community living camp

- learning to living together, sharing duties and responsibilities.
- practicing community works.
- practicing democratic living and managing events.
- develop coordination among students.
Report
As part of the B. Ed curriculum, there were a five-day
community living camp conducted in our college. We, the students were divided
into various committees. I came under the food committee.
Day :1
On the first day of our camp, the inauguration program
started at 9.30 AM with a prayer song by Gopika Krishnan. Our honorable principal Dr. TV. Kunhiraman sir inaugurated
the five days camp in the absence of Mrs. Thankamma, secretary of Kaviyattu
college of Education, and delivered a wonderful speech. After that we went to Rangaprabhath, the children's theatre,
Vemjaramoodu. It was a different experience to all of us. We get a class
on the importance of arts and theatre. Also, we all performed there individually
and also in groups. after the section we reached the college by noon and had
the lunch. By 2.00 PM the next section the ice breaking section with
Vivek sir. It was an active and joyous time. He explained us the qualities that
a teacher should have with activities The first day was really great.
DAY 2
On 01/04/2023, the second day, it was the field visiting
day. We started our journey at 8.30 AM from college to Charithra Malika history
museum. We reached there by 11 am.It was a different experience for all of us. There we could
see the brilliance of our ancestors in architecture and sculpture. We enjoyed
the atmosphere and the place. We spent a quality time there. Afternoon we went
to the Sagarika marine aquarium, Vizhinjam. It was a good time to come and
learn about marine life. Then return to our college. By 6.00PM we reached our
college. We enjoyed the trip and successfully completed the 2nd day of our
camp.
DAY 3
3rd April 2023 the 3rd day of our camp started with a
guidance and counselling session by Umadevi ma'am at 9.30 AM. She explained us
the various situations and difficulties facing the students nowadays. It was a
great time with her. Afternoon it was a community productive work with Shiyas
sir. It was aclay modelling session. It was a great time we had a good time.
DAY 4
04/04/2023 the 4th day of our community living camp started
at 9.30 AM with an interesting session. The aerobics under the giidance
of Dr. Geetha ma'am. It started with a warming up then she taught some of us some
aerobic steps and we altogether dance according to different song with those
steps. Also, she explained us how aerobic exercise help us. It was a wonderful
session. The afternoon session was carried out by Mr.
Brahmanayakam sir. He gave us a really great hour. He explained us our
uniqueness and capabilities in a different way. It was an amazing session. The
4th day was really ausome.
DAY 5
05/04/2023 the most awaited day of our camp. Not because of
it was the last day but it qas the day we planted to conduct the cultural
programs. The day started with a yoga session by Nishd sir. It was a kind
of refreshing time. After that we were allotted some time to practices. After
the 5th day community lunch, the programs started. That was truly a great
time. We all enjoyed and participated in the programs and finally we
successfully completed the 5 days community living camp only because of the
unity of both students and teachers.
